(KWNO)-People in Winona are reacting after Adam Fravel was convicted on four counts of first- and second-degree murder in the death of Madeline Kingsbury. Wendy Peck was one of the hundreds of volunteers who looked for Kingsbury when she disappeared last year. She said, ” I think everyone in Winona helped search for Maddie and we all feel like family because she was such a wonderful lady. I didn’t know her personally, but we all got to know her through searching, and I’m just glad he was found guilty.” Community members gathered in Winona Thursday afternoon to reflect on Fravel’s conviction earlier in the day in Blue Earth County. He’s expected to receive a life prison sentence on December 17.
