Pumpkin Carving: Although Halloween is approaching fast that doesn’t mean pumpkin decorating has to stop. You and your pals can each go grab a pumpkin and use paints or knives to decorate the pumpkin. You can make them spooky or you can make a theme and all try and come up with the best design. As long as you’re having fun and getting messy it is going to be a good time. For extra fun you can have friends that don’t participate, guess whose pumpkin is whose, or vote for the best one.
Walk through the Woods: This is pretty self-explanatory, but you also necessary. As the leaves change and the ground starts to freeze you have to make it on a trail. We are blessed to be able to drive in our car and just see the many colors of fall, but walking under those gorgeous trees makes all the difference. If you are crazy you could even take a little dip into the Mississippi and start prepping yourself for a winter of cold plunges, just remember to BREATHE.
Dinner Night: A lot of people come November time will host a Friendsgiving, which is fun but can become expensive with each of you bringing a dish and making it on your own. What I suggest is a family dinner night with your friends. Decide what you’re going to make, all go to the grocery store together and get your ingredients, and then cook your meal together. It is very fun and rewarding to do something as a team and then enjoy the fruits of your labor with your best pals.
Night Games: Last but certainly not least is a good evening of night games. There are many games you can play after dark like flashlight tag, ghost in the graveyard, or hostages. For flashlight tag you will just need a strong flashlight, someone is it and has to tag everyone with the flashlight, the last one tagged is the next to hold the flashlight. Ghost in the graveyard you chose one person to be the ghost and hide, everyone else counts and once they are done, they go look for the ghost. When one of the seekers sees the ghost, they yell ghost in the graveyard. Then the ghost goes and tries and tag everyone else while all the seekers try and run back to home base where they are safe. Lastly for Hostages you need to be separated into teams. Then you swap a player from each team to give to the other team. Those teams then go and drive their opponent to a random isolated area. Once left alone, the hostage calls someone on their team and has to explain where they are and they work as a team without cheating to find their partner. First person to find their teammate and return to homebase wins.
Although the fall can feel cold and lonely, there are many ways to make it a delight. Grab your friends and family and try one or all of these activities to keep your fall exciting and fun. Happy Fall!!
