Comedian legend Martin Short and Academy darling Meryl Streep have been rumored to be dating since their shared moments on the hit show “Only Murders in the Building.” Could an on screen romance have blossomed beyond our televisions?

It was announced in January of last year that Meryl Streep would be joining the cast of “Only Murders in The Building” via Selena Gomez’s Instagram. We would soon discover when the season premiered later that year that Streep plays Short’s love interest on the show. Rumors started to bubble up when the pair was seen rather close together at the Golden Globes in January of 2024.

Talk continued as Meryl and Martin were spotted in LA going to dinner together, then shared that they saw a production of Merrily We Roll Along together a month later. But perhaps our most compelling piece of evidence yet is a video of the pair of them holding hands at the premiere after party for season 4 of their show.
