MSP expanding free security line reservation program to Terminal 1

Sep 13, 2024 | 10:01 AM

The Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport is expanding its MSP Reserve program to Terminal 1 starting next week. The program saw great success when tested in Terminal 2 for the last year.

“MSP Reserve is a free security line reservation program. You just go to mspairport.com and you would enter in some of your information and then look at the available times that connect with the time around your flight. You would get some information online that you could then bring to the MSP reserve line. It’s a way for passengers to have certainty, a time to show up at the checkpoint and have their credentials checked and go through a special line that may be quicker than if you just show up to the security checkpoint without MSP reserve,” said MSP Strategic Communications Manager Jeff Lea.

MSP Reserve launched in Terminal 2 in May 2023 and logged 50,000 reservations in its first year. MSP is one of just 18 airports in North America and Europe operating the program.
