(KWNO)-Winona County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a drunk boater on Thursday near Lock and Dam No. 7. According to a WCSO spokesperson several people were in a boat going through the lock on Thursday evening. The boat started having mechanical issues and a La Crescent Fire Department boat offered assistance. During contact with the boaters, 42-year-old William Wilbur of Denver, CO was determined to be intoxicated and was arrested for DWI. The spokesperson said Wilbur’s blood alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit.
