Friends of the late Madeline Kingsbury of Winona say she confided in them about alleged physical abuse by her ex-boyfriend Adam Fravel. One of the women said Kingsbury was nervous about leaving Fravel because he threatened to make it difficult to see her children if she did. Fravel will be tried for the first- and second-degree murder of Kingsbury next month in Mankato.
