Steamboat Days 2024 Captain and Mate

(KWNO)-Eli and Abe Van Beek were chosen as Captain and First Mate for Steamboat Days 2024 after the Kiddie Parade Friday June 14th at Winona’s Lake Park

Miss Winona Steamboat Days Bianna Jones, Princess of the Starboard Natalie Horeck, Princess of the Port Watch Emma Mandelkow and Button Design Winner Lacey Kimmerle all participated in the final drawing of their names from the five finalist couples.

Eli and Abe rode on the Steamboat Days Float with Miss Winona Steamboat Days and court, Button Design Winner and Harbor Master in the Steamboat Days Grande Parade Sunday, June 16th.

The Theme for the Kiddie Parade this year was “Celebrate your love of Literature and the book characters you enjoy”. The First-Place winner of the Kiddie Parade Float Contest was Rollingstone Community School with the book “Rainbow Fish”. They were inspired by the beloved story if the Rainbow Fish, which teaches us about the joy and challenges of sharing and the profound impact it can have on friendships. Their First Place earned a spot in the Grand Parade.
