Judge approves change of venue motion for Fravel trial

(KWNO)-The trial of Adam Fravel will not be in Winona County. The change of venue motion was granted Wednesday. Fravel’s attorneys argued media coverage of the case made it impossible for him to get a fair trial in Winona County and the judge agreed. Fravel is accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend Madeline Kingsbury last year. The order says,” the Court will collaborate closely with both district and state court administration to identify a suitable county capable of accommodating this Winona County case.” Other motions by the defense were denied including suppressing statements Fravel made to law enforcement. Fravel’s trial is tentatively set to start this fall.
