(KWNO)-The new Borealis train will stop in Winona on its maiden run. The passenger train operated by Amtrak is scheduled to pull into the Winona Depot at 1:40 p.m. on next Tuesday. There will a welcoming ceremony at the depot starting at 12:45 p.m. with comments by local dignitaries and politicians and a ribbon cutting. The train will only be in Winona for about five minutes before departing for Chicago. The Borealis train will run daily between St. Paul and Chicago.
