(KWNO)-The Child Abuse Prevention Month Walk is April 22 in Winona. The event is a collaboration between Family and Children’s Center (FCC) and Winona State University.
Nicole Eiken with FCC will speak before the walk about the importance of advocating for children and families and providing a safe place for children who are being abused. FCC operates Matty’s Place in Winona and Stepping Stones Child Advocacy Center in La Crosse.

The walk is free to attend, and participants are welcome to bring their dogs. Walkers can meet at the gazebo near Phelps and Gildemeister Halls on the WSU campus at 4:00 p.m.
