(KWNO)-Gunshots were fired at a Winona apartment complex on Sunday night. According to a police spokesperson up to 20 people were outside the buildings in the 1750 block of West 7th Street. Offices responded around 6:00 p.m. to reports of shots fired. Through video from surveillance cameras and witness statements investigators ascertained 20-year-old Jayden Jessie allegedly fired two shots from a handgun. One bullet hit the building and the other was found in the ground and dug out by officers. The video shows 25-year-old Derrell Walker handing the gun to Jessie shortly before Jessie discharged it, according to the spokesperson. Walker was found outside the buildings and Jessie was located in an apartment. Both were arrested without incident and are charged with 2nd-degree assault of a dangerous weapon among other charges.
