(KWNO)-More than 100 people in Winona will lose their jobs soon. BCS Automotive Interface Solutions this week informed the state it will permanently close its Winona plant and layoff about 123 people later this year. The company makes keyless entry parts for cars. Some employees are in the United Auto Workers Local 958 union and have seniority and bumping rights. Bumping rights provide for an employee to displace another employee due to a layoff or other employment action as defined in a collective bargaining agreement. BCS workers at a nearby engineering facility are not expected to be affected by the downsizing.
