(KWNO)-A Winona man is dead following a one-vehicle crash on Tuesday. According to a Winona County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson the car was traveling north on County Road 25 between Rollingstone and Lewiston. Near the intersection of Tews Road the vehicle crossed the center line, left the roadway and drove into the ditch. The spokesperson said the car was then “catapulted onto an embankment” causing its front end to hit the ground. The impact flipped the car on its roof and the driver was partially ejected. The driver was 75-year-old Donald Charles Wilson of Winona. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The spokesperson said Wilson was not wearing a seat belt.
