‘Grocery Grab’ benefits WVS food shelf

(KWNO)-WNB Financial collected 1,172 pounds of food and personal care items as part of its sixth annual Grocery Grab event. The event took place at Midtown Foods and the items will be donated to the Winona Volunteer Services Food Shelf.

Nine local businesses raced through the store grabbing as many products as they could in 90 seconds. HBC won the coveted Golden Grocery Cart trophy with a total of $908.55 of merchandise.

The event is part of the Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign which is the largest grassroots food and fund drive in the
state. Since 2018, a total of 7,355 pounds of food have been collected through the Grocery Grab event
to benefit the Winona Volunteer Services Food Shelf. In addition, a total of $26,088.74 has been
spent through the Grocery Grab at Midtown Foods.
