(KWNO)-The Black Hawk Bridge connection Lansing, IA to Wisconsin is closed amid concerns about its structural integrity. The Iowa Department of Transportation closed the bridge and started inspections on Monday. The bridge will likely be closed for several weeks.
According to the Iowa DOT the bridge has shifted in two places and work crews are trying to stabilize two piers. Drivers should plan to use alternate crossings at either Prairie du Chien or La Crosse.
