(KWNO)-A man recently released from jail for drunk driving allegedly got behind the wheel again and was re-arrested by Winona County Sheriff’s Office deputies less than an hour later. According to a spokesperson, around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday 40-year-old Agripino Velazquez Jimenez was stopped for speeding. He showed signs of intoxication and was arrested for suspected DWI. The spokesperson said Jimenez had been arrested by the Minnesota State Patrol for DWI and booked into the Winona County jail at 10:34 p.m. on Wednesday. About two hours later, according to the spokesperson, Jiminez was released to a sober adult. But Jimenez was soon driving again and was pulled over by deputies on Riverview Drive. His blood alcohol content was still above the legal limit and Jimenez was arrested. The person Jimenez was released to following the first arrest was a passenger in the car. It is unclear if Jimenez drank more alcohol between the first and second arrest.
