(KWNO)-Winona State University on Thursday announcing three finalists for its presidency. The finalists are Mary Bonderoff, Karim Ismaili and Kenneth Janz.
According to a press release, the candidates were “recommended by a search advisory committee comprised of students, faculty, staff and community leaders.” Bonderoff is currently the president of State University of New York (SUNY), Delhi. She holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from SUNY Oneonta and a doctorate from Northeastern University (MA). Ismaili is the executive vice president and provost at Bridgewater State University (MA). He has a bachelor’s degree from Simon Fraser University (Canada), a master’s degree from the University of Cambridge and a doctorate from the University of Western Canada. Janz is currently the interim president at Winona State and previously served as the chief information officer and associate vice president for academic affairs at WSU.
The Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities is expected to consider Chancellor Scott Olson’s recommendation at its meeting on March 20. The anticipated start date for the new president is July 1, according to the press release.
