(KWNO)-At the most recent Winona City Council meeting councilman George Borzykowski brought up concerns he’s hearing from constituents about alternate side parking. Borzykowski said this is ongoing issue dating back several decades to when the city instituted alternate side parking. Borzykowski asked Mayor Scott Sherman and City Manager Chad Ubl to form a committee to examine how alternate side parking might be tweaked for the future.

“I am not against alternate side parking (but) is there a way that we can re-engineer this? Is there something we could do? And maybe there’s not. If we can just look at it with those people that are involved and some concerned citizens as well to see if there’s something we can do to make it better,” said Borzykowski.

Alternate side parking in Winona ends of March 15 this year.
