(KWMN)- The Cotter girls hit the road last night to St. Charles and they continued to set the pace in the Three Rivers conference with a dominating win, 73-24.

Cotter shot out to a quick lead and left no room for the St. Charles offense to breath. Forcing double digit turnovers in the first 10 minutes alone. Halfway through the first half, Cotter was able to mount a 33-7 lead, and it was smooth sailing from there on.

Junior forward Clarissa Sauer continued a dominant season with 18 first half points which led all Rambler scorers on the night. Sauer sat for the whole 2nd half as the score was far out of reach. Sauer is averaging 23 points a game, on top of seven boards and three assists.

The Cotter girls improve to 10-2 on the season and stay undefeated in the Three Rivers conference, now 5-0. St. Charles drops to 0-10, and 0-5 in the conference.

Head coach for the Ramblers, Pat Bowling (Coaching his 33rd season), loves the way his team his playing, and has been impressed with the growth so far. He said that he didn’t think his team would be as far along as they are, especially with a season ending injury to all-around forward Ava Killian earlier this season. Bowlin has been pleased with players stepping up, and the overall scoring he sees on a nightly basis.

He thought it would take a little deeper into the season for his team to be firing on all cylinders, but that’s not the case. The Ramblers continue to win games, and even in their losses show the ability to compete with the top of the class.

Cotter, amongst other area teams, are scheduled to have games this weekend, but with weather, those matchups are in question.

Other scores from area teams:

Rushford-Peterson Girls: 57-49 Dover-Eyota

Cotter Boys: 69-56 St. Charles

Winhawk Boys: 59-61 Northfield

Rushford-Peterson Boys: 81-58 Dover-Eyota
