(KWNO)-Is your Christmas tree out on the sidewalk or on the porch or in the front yard and you’re not sure what to do with it? It’s not always easy to figure out how to get rid of your festive fir but the Kiwanis Club of Winona has you covered.
The annual Kiwanis Christmas Tree Pickup is Saturday, January 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. Volunteers will be picking up trees in Winona, Goodview, Sunny Acres and Minnesota City. All you have to do is put your tree on the southeast corner of your block before 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Trees should not be in a bag and all ornaments and lights need to be removed.
Crews will not come back to a neighborhood to pick up trees put out after they’ve left the area. Trees will be taken to two local disposal sites.
