Man allegedly ‘huffing’ hides in Target bathroom after store closes

(KWNO)-Winona police are looking for a man who allegedly hid in the bathroom at Target after the store closed. Officers responded to Target around 11:30 Tuesday night on a burgulary call. According to a police spokesperon, store video shows the man emerging from the bathroom, walking around the store and possibly putting merchandise in his pockets. Officers searching the store found “11 empty air duster containers” in the bathroom leading them to believe the man was huffing. Huffing is inhaling fumes from run-of-the-mill household products, such as glue, cleaning products or paint, producing a high.

Police responded to two calls earlier on Tuesday regarding a person huffing at Ace Hardware and Walmart in Winona and suspect it was the same person on the Target video, according to the spokesperson. Police made contact with and identified the person following the incident at the hardware store but he wasn’t arrested at that time.
