(KWNO)-The Winona woman accused of murdering her husband in a hit-and-run was found not guilty on Friday. Lori Phillips was on trial in La Crosse County in connection with the death of her husband Mark who died in 2019. Lori claimed she found Mark in snowbank near their home in Holmen. Prosecutors argued Lori hit Mark with her car following an argument. Lori testified on Thursday and Friday, claiming Mark was abusive and she feared for her life but she denied killing him. The jury deliberated for about three and half hours before returning the not guilty verdict.
