The Winona woman is accused of killing Mark in 2019 in a hit and run when they lived in Holmen. In testimony on Thursday Lori Phillips outlined an abusive relationship in which Mark Phillips called her names like “whore” and “slut” when he was drunk and in one case, after drinking all day, kicked down the door to their house and looked for a gun after Lori locked him out. Phillips claims she found Mark in a snowbank near their driveway following an argument.
