Wilson Fire Dept. receives life-saving equipment, training

(KWNO)-The Wilson Volunteer Fire Department is receiving life-saving equipment through the annual Grain Bin Safety campaign. Wilson is one of 60 fire departments across the country getting grain rescue bins and training on what to do during grain bin emergencies.

According to a press release there were 42 grain entrapments last year in U.S. and 15 fatalities. Over the last decade the Grain Bin Safety campaign has provided rescue tools and training to 332 fire departments in 32 states.
