She was born in Duluth on July 14th, 1941, to Daniel and Patricia Cosgriff. She lived most of her life in Duluth before moving to Rochester, MN to be closer to her daughter in 2008.

Kathleen married Richard A. Robinson in 1969, and they were together until his death in 2006. Kathleen worked in the U.S. Forest Service from 1967 t0 1977. She maintained a life-long love of reading and was highly active in the Friends of Library wherever she lived.

She started an antique cut-glass and furniture business in the early 1980s. When her husband retired from the Air National Guard in 1986, he joined her in this business. Together they operated several businesses in various antique malls. This would involve traveling with her husband Rob to numerous locations to participate and sell merchandise at antique shows. They loved to travel together and typically would drive long distances for vacation as well as business.

Kathy was a passionate reader, typically reading multiple newspapers each day and reading 4-5 books a week. She was a dynamic conversationalist and was always ready to express her opinion in clear, straightforward language that let you know where she stood.

In her later years, her business shifted to selling vintage and contemporary children’s literature. She had a well-known reputation for being a children’s book appraiser and dealer. Kathleen loved to attend University of Minnesota Duluth hockey games as well as camping in the BWCA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel, and Patricia Cosgriff; her husband Richard (Robbie) Robinson; and her sister Diana Cosgriff Klosowski. Kathleen is survived by her daughter Tricia and son-in-law Matthew Klosky of Winona, MN.
