Man with gun flees officers, arrested

(KWNO)-A man with a gun allegedly threatened a group of people outside a Winona bar on Sunday. Police were called to Third and Market Streets just after midnight. Three people at the scene claimed they got into a verbal argument with 34-year-old Patrick Walker. Walker allegedly slapped the three men and showed them a gun he had in his waistband.

When police confronted Walker he took off on foot. Police ran after Walker and observed him throw a metal object away as he was being pursued. Walker fell down and officers subdued him. Walker had cocaine on him and officers also found a .45 caliber pistol nearby which they believe is the object he threw away during the pursuit. Walker is in jail and charged with carrying a gun without a permit, fleeing officers and several other offenses.
