(KWNO)-One person is dead after a tractor trailer roll-over crash and fire in Buffalo County on Monday.
According to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office the semi-truck crossed the centerline on Highway 25 and drove into the ditch on Monday evening in Nelson. The vehicle ended up on its side and caught fire. When emergency crews arrived the tractor was completely engulfed. Fire crews put out the fire and found the 63-year-old driver dead in the cab.
The truck was hauling manure and a press release said about 5,000 gallons of manure spilled in the area. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources was called in due to the manure spill. Highway 25 was closed for about five hours.
