(KWNO)-A five-vehicle crash near Fountain City on Wednesday inured six people, two of whom were airlifted to hospitals. According to a news release from the Wisconsin State Patrol, around 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday a southbound vehicle on Highway 35 crossed the center line and crashed head on with a northbound vehicle, causing three other vehicles to crash as well.
Both lanes on Highway 35 were shut down for several hours. Emergency responders from multiple agencies assisted at the crash site, including the Fountain City Fire Department, the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office and Highway Department and Winona Ambulance.
