Rep. Finstad: ‘We owe it to the American people’ to support impeachment inquiry

(KWNO)-U.S. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Tuesday announced a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. This move is seen by some political analysts as a way to placate hard line Republicans because McCarthy had previously indicated there would be a full House vote before an impeachment inquiry was issued. Minnesota First District Congressman Brad Finstad, who represents Winona, showed his support for the impeachment inquiry in a Facebook post.

Finstad’s post has received more than 30 comments with opinions pretty evenly split on the congressman’s position. One person wrote, “Thank you Brad for your support of a dementia ridden traitor,” referring to President Biden. Another poster wrote “Seriously Brad, this is an act of revenge and anyone with a brain knows it. You should be ashamed of yourself for supporting this and insulting us and thinking we’ll buy your BS.” The impeachment inquiry comes amid a September 30 deadline for the House to pass a spending measure to keep the government open.
