(KWMN)- The Rushford-Peterson Trojan Football team will begin their 2023 season tomorrow night, with loads of new players taking over important roles.

Now two years removed since the last time Rushford has won their section, many players this season that will see a majority of snaps were Freshman, if not younger, on that team. The biggest loss the Trojans will face is in Grady Hengel, who graduated last spring. They also said goodbye to Riley Tesch, Andrew Wilkemeyer and Dalton Hoel to name a few, but the list goes on from there.

Jr. Caden Johnson will take the reins under center, but luckily for him, he has returning halfback Jonah Bunke by his side.

Head Coach for the Trojans, Davin Thompson, spoke with the Winona Sports Network during Training Camp.
