(KWNO)-Winona Police issued citations for underage drinking to 10 people at Port 507 on Saturday night. Officers entered the bar on West 2nd Street around 11:00 p.m. and observed several people they believed to be under 21 consuming alcohol. After confirming the people were underage officers issued misdemeanor citations. Several other people were detained by officers stationed outside the bar and subsequently issued tickets for underage drinking. A Winona Police spokesperson said there are no repercussions for Port 507 right now, but “the bottom line is they’re not doing a good enough job at the door” checking identification. A ticket for underage drinking is about $250 according to Winona Police.
