Ready Set School director leaving

(KWNO)-Ready Set School Director Mandi Olson is stepping down at the end of the year. Olson has served as director of the nonprofit for five years.

“I am so proud of everything I accomplished alongside the Board the past five years and I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve the community in this way. I feel it’s time for me to lean into my family and other interests,” Olson said in a statement.

Under Olson’s leadership Ready Set School increased the number of students it helps to more than 1,000 every year and grew its fundraising and donations to over $90,000 annually.

Ready Set School started in 1997 to help ensure K-12 students in Winona County have basic school supplies. The nonprofit is currently accepting applications for a new director.
