Lake Blvd. construction starts on Wednesday

(KWNO)-Road construction on East Lake Boulevard and West Lake Boulevard in Winona will be starting Wednesday, according to a press release. Crews will be working on a chip sealing project and drivers are advised there will no parking along the road. Flaggers and short delays are possible and drivers should find an alternate route if they can. The roads will be open to homeowners.

Chip sealing is a proactive maintenance treatment that extends the life of asphalt roads and reduces the need to seal cracks. It also makes roads safer for drivers by providing more skid resistance. The project could continue into Thursday, according to the press release.
