(KWNO)-A 400-acre fire in Wisconsin is now mostly contained, according to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. The fire in Waushara County near Coloma destroyed several buildings and caused about 100 houses to be evacuated. A DNR statement said the fire burned in pine and mixed hardwoods along Cumberland Avenue and north of Highway 21. Gusting winds and dry conditions likely contributed to the fire spreading. Wisconsin DNR and local fire departments are on the scene, including an air attack fire plane. Coloma is about two hours from Winona.
