(KWNO)-Winona State University will once again host WinterFest in the Kryzsko Commons.
The free, family-friendly event happening on Friday, December 2nd, from 5 to 8 p.m. is open to the public.
A variety of entertaining seasonal activities for all ages, including cookie decorating and hot chocolate, card making for senior citizens, and photo snow globes, will be featured.
Participants will be able to enjoy karaoke at 5 p.m. and bingo at 5:30 p.m.
The new fire feature patio east of Kryzsko Commons will make it possible for everyone in attendance to savor s’mores all evening long.
On hand will be free seasonal beverage samples provided by Starbucks. And for those hungry for more than holiday snacks, Panda Express will be offering a 15 percent discount on purchases.
Anyone interested in buying a WSU-themed gift or two ahead of the Christmas holiday may stop by the Winona State University Bookstore, which will be open from 5 to 7 p.m.
The night will cap off with a performance by stand-up magician Derek Hughes in the Kryzsko Ballroom at 7 p.m. Some might remember Hughes as a finalist on season 10 of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” and his magic performances on MTV, VH1, and Comedy Central.
