(KWNO)-Families with children receiving special education services within the WAPS school district are encouraged to visit the Winona Middle School media center for the upcoming Parent Network Night being held from 6 to 6:45 p.m. on Monday, November 28th.
Input is required as the district works on resurrecting the parent-driven group. Families and legal guardians who want to learn more about how they can connect with other parents within the WAPS community and provide input for future Parent Network Nights that families will find useful are encouraged to attend.
Several topics will be discussed during the meeting, including:
What is special education?
What is Parent Network Night?
What is the Special Education Advisory Council?
Immediately following the Parent Network Night discussion, there will be an opportunity to attend the Special Education Advisory Committee, which will be concluded by 7:30 p.m.
