Merchants Financial Group, Inc. Closing Out 2022 With More Than $22 Million in Net Earnings

(KWNO)-Merchants Financial Group, Inc. (MFGI) is a publicly traded company with ownership comprised of more than 470 employees plus individuals and families from southeastern Minnesota and west-central Wisconsin.

The group announced net earnings of $22,114,264 through the first three quarters of 2022. Due to strong performance, the MFGI Board of Directors authorized a semiannual dividend of 33 cents per share to all shareholders.

MFGI President and CEO Gregory M. Evans noted that the company’s 2022 forecast demonstrated key nonrecurring contributions such as exceptional activity in the area of mortgage loans and the SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program.

Evans stated, “It was gratifying to be in a position to thank our dedicated shareholders once again for their support.”

$452.8 million in new commercial loans played a major role in MFGI’s third quarter performance.
