MiEnergy Cooperative’s Operation Round Up Making a Difference With Donations

Nov 4, 2022 | 12:56 PM

(KWNO)-MiEnergy Cooperative members elect to donate $6,000, with $3,000 going towards organizations in Minnesota.

All funds for Operation Round Up are generated by members of the MiEnergy Cooperative through voluntary, tax-deductible donations made via their electric bills.

While the average donation may seem small at only six dollars per year, the more than 2,000 members who participate annually generate funds approximating $12,000 for local organizations.

This year, three Minnesota organizations will receive equal funds of $1,000: the Foundation for Rushford-Peterson Schools, Protivin Firefighters Inc., and the Rushford Area Historical Society.
