Daylong Closure of Parks Avenue North Today

(KWNO)- Motorists in Winona on Hwy 43/Mankato Ave. will encounter a daylong closure of Parks Avenue North across from Frontenac Drive today, Oct. 19th, Says Minnesota’s Department of Transportation.

Crews from Xcel Energy will be placing a gas line underground along the west side of Hwy 43/Mankato Ave. during this time.

The closure began at 7:00 a.m. and will be closed for the remainder of the day.

MnDOT says that motorists will be able to access Winona Health and other properties located on the west side by using other access roads to the south.

Southbound motorists will still be able to use right turns at Riverbend Road and Parks Avenue South as well as Parks Avenue access on Hwy 61 west near the Winona Family YMCA.

Left turns on Hwy 43/Mankato Ave. are still not allowed.
