(KWNO)- On Thursday, Oct. 13th at approximately 7:22 the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to a 75-year-old male subject that had not returned from his hike in the Tiffany Wildlife area, according to County officials.
According to Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office, the caller advised that Charles Brion had left for a hike in the Wildlife area around 2:30 p.m. and had not returned.
Buffalo County and Pepin County Sheriff’s Office personnel arrived on the scene and started a search with a drone and K-9 unit.
Nelson Fire and Duran Fire Departments were requested to start a ground search in the area that Brion was suspected to be walking in.
The Wisconsin DNR was also requested to assist with the search and use of water resource assets.
The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Department says that shortly before 1:00 a.m. Brion was located approximately six miles from his vehicle and was in good health condition. Brion was brought to shore using the WI DNR airboat where he was checked out by the Alma Ambulance.
