(KWNO)- The Winona Fire Department announced in a press release that in conjunction with this year’s Fire Prevention Week, Oct. 9th through Oct. 15th, the WFD will be hosting an open house at the Central Fire Station.
The open house will be on Wednesday, Oct. 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Central Station is located at 1077 W Broadway Street in Winona.
Visitors will be able to get a tour of the firehouse as well as see, aerial truck demonstrations, types of apparatus, firefighting equipment, and rescue equipment, and be provided with sacks.
Joining the Fire department at Central Station will be Sparky the Fire Dog.
Additionally, the WFD will be drawing three Winona-addressed names for a ride home from school in a fire truck. Brothers and sisters of the name drawn that live at the same address will also be welcome for the ride home from school.
