Weekly Hwy 43/61 Construction Update

(KWNO)- Construction work continues on the Hwy 43 and 61 construction project as crews are now in the closing months of construction.

The next step to take shape in the construction process is Mankato Ave.

Crews have been pouring concrete for curbs and gutters along the west side of Mankato Ave. They’ve also begun installing roundabouts on half of the road along Mankato Ave. with full completion of the roundabouts on Mankato Ave coming at a later date.

The box culvert near Sarnia Street is still being installed. MnDOT says to expect some traffic delays along Sarnia St. because of this.

Construction remains on schedule toward an estimated completion of sometime in November.
