The 2022 Visit Winona Tourism Awards

(KWNO)- Voting will soon end on the third annual Visit Winona Tourism Awards.

The online voting window will close tomorrow for two awards; The Peoples Choice Award and The Hidden Gem Award.

The Peoples Choice Award is given to a business, attraction, or event that helps draw people to the community, is well known to tourists and locals alike, and serves a significant number of visitors to the community along with residents.

The nominations include Bloedow Bakery, Island City Brewing Company, Mid West Music Fest, No Name Bar, and Prairie Island Campground.

The Hidden Gem Award is given to an entity that locals love, helps build the fabric of the wonderful community, and delights visitors if they discover it.

Those nominations are Heirloom Seasonal Bistro, Nosh Scratch Kitchen, ORNO Gift + Home, Treasures Under Sugar Loaf, and Winona Public Library.

Winners will be announced at the Visit Winona Annual Tourism Celebration on Aug. 2nd at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum.

The event is free and open to the public but RSVPs are required. For more information go to visitwinona.com.
