
WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-Three County Board Seats are among the offices on the ballot for Winona County in the upcoming election.
The window to file for this year’s race closed on Tuesday. In District 5 incumbent Marcia Ward is being challenged by Bob Redig and former County Administrator Ken Fritz is challenging First District Incumbent Chris Meyer.
Todd Frahm, Jerry Obieglo and Dwayne Voglie are vying for the board’s Second District seat, which is held by Commissioner Marie Kovecsi. Kovecsi has not filed for re-election, according to the Minnesota Secretary of State’s Office.
The only other county office being contested this year is Sheriff. Incumbent Ron Ganrude is up against Sheriff’s Deputy Charles Rolbiecki.
