ALMA, Wis. (KWNO)-An out-of-control southbound towboat struck Lock and Dam 4 in Alma late Saturday night.
The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Department reported no crew members or lock and dam personnel were injured. Officials say none of the cargo or fuel spilled into the river.
Efforts to recover the barges and tow were initiated following the collision. The U.S. Coast Guard is investigating the incident.
The tow is operated by the Canal Barge Company.
