ALMA, Wis.(KWNO)-The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Department is taking part in a statewide seatbelt enforcement initiative.
Extra patrols will be on the lookout for unbelted motorists now through June 5. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says one out of every five motorists does not buckle up.
Officials say over half of the state’s traffic fatalities involve unbelted motorists. Drivers in Wisconsin are required by law to buckle up.
