(KWNO)-Winona County residents still have time to discard their old appliances.
Miller Scrap, Matejka Recycling in Winona, and Timm’s Auto in St. Charles have been accepting old appliances since May 2. The free collection ends at Miller and Matejka on May 7 while the cut-off to drop appliances at Timm’s is May 6.
The scrap yards are accepting Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, water heaters, washers, dryers, stoves, microwaves, dishwashers, and dehumidifiers. TV’s computers, electronics and plastic water softener tanks are not accepted.
