Police Investigating Two Reported Thefts at Anova Furnishings

WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-The Winona Police Department is investigating a pair of thefts reported at Anova Furnishings.  

The first was reported Saturday morning. Police say employees witnessed an unknown male leave the area in a pick-up truck.  

The employees then reported an estimated $660 worth of tools were missing from the property. Staff arrived the next day to find more tools and equipment that were missing from the building.  

Police say there were no signs of forced entry and believe the suspect entered through the fire-torn part of the building. The building caught on fire on the morning of March 5 and again on the morning of March 7.  

Police say the employees who spotted the truck on Saturday could not get a description of the truck or the license plate.  

Items reported missing from the first theft call:  

  • Toolbox 
  • Socket set  
  • Assorted hand tools  
  • Drill bit set, an auger bit, a paddle bit  
  • Cordless drill 
  •  Two laser tape measures  
  • Wireless charger 
  • Assorted safety glasses  
  • Safely helmet  
  • Safety vest.   

The items that are believed to have been taken during the second theft call (3/13 at 9:40 a.m.): 

  • 4 Milwaukee impact drills, value of $250 each. 
  • 4 Milwaukee drills, value of $159 each 
  • 1 Milwaukee radio, value of $150 
  • 20 blue and yellow extension cords, value of $32 each
