(KWNO)- The First Congregational Church in Winona is the recipient of a $44,500 grant from the Minnesota Historical Society.
The church will use the money to contract with qualified professionals to prepare construction documents for the preservation, the grant description states. Winona’s First Congregational Church is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
The grant was part of nearly $6.2 million awarded across 19 counties throughout Minnesota. The Minnesota Historical Society awarded 56 Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage Grants.
