Vehicle Strikes Pedestrian on Broadway St.

WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-A Ham Lake woman suffered serious injuries after she was struck by a vehicle while crossing Broadway St. Thursday morning.  

Winona Police say 19-year-old Mackenzie L. Sinner was walking south across Broadway at the Washington St. crosswalk when she was struck by an eastbound motorist. Police say they found Sinner lying in the crosswalk when they arrived.   

Sinner was transported by ambulance to Winona Health before being airlifted to La Crosse for further treatment. Police say they’re examining possible applicable charges for the motorist and will make a charging decision once reports from the Minnesota State Patrol Accident Reconstructionist are complete.   

Authorities closed Broadway for approximately two hours while police and the Minnesota State Patrol investigated the crash.
